W. Basketball. Techsters Fall at McNeese State 63-51

There are NO games this year that Tech has won when it was expected to lose. And over the last couple of years, I'm confident that number is 5 or less (likely closer to 0 than to 5).

On the other hand, there are at least three games already this year (Arkansas State, Nicholls State, McNeese State) that Tech lost when it was expected to win. And just think of the WAC home games that Tech lost last year (UTSA comes to mind immediately)...several of those were totally unexpected losses. The total for this year and the last two years has to be well into double digits.

The problem you're having is your expectations. You actually expected Spoon's bunch to beat McNeese, especially on the road!? Really? I didn't. And posted as much before the game.

Actually, I don't really expect this version of Tech's WBB to win any games. Not on a case by case basis, I don't. But, taken as a whole, over the course of the season I think (i.e. expect) them to win about 7 games. Which ones, I can't say. It's kind of the "blind squirrel...." theory. And knowing how pitifully weak many teams on the schedule are, I figure lady luck will smile a few times. They have many of the same problems as us....they suck!

There is no coaching on this team. I sincerely believe this team would end up with more wins, (maybe 10) if the coaches didn't show up for any of the games, and the players just ad-libbed it.

I think 10-19 is a reasonable projection.

Who would have ever thought that Lady Techsters would lose to McNeese and Nichols in the same season...there is no way I would have ever dreamed that. This program is in shambles, needs a full cleaning out and fresh start!
