I think everybody (including fans) had some hangover from the Ok State game. I'm glad me and my oldest made it over. That said, it's not easy to get over to Ruston (from S'port/Bossier) midweek with kids in school. The locals didn't turn out. I don't get it.

I am making the trip to Monroe on Sunday. I believe fans make a difference in winning/losing. Data backs me up too.

Was wondering the same thing. Also, later games seem better attended too. At first I was skeptical of an 8 pm start time. But after going to 6:30 and 8 I found the 8 pm easier to get to. 6:30 is a rush after work.

My theory on the low attendance last night (students and regular fans)...

Losing takes the shine off for both crowds.

Students: Pizza every game? Think a little. Stay on them through the highly thought of social media. Not much effort there between between OSU and Tuesday. It's still not an "event" for them.

Fans: Not much promotion, but the Christmas and year end season are always gonna hurt. Many of our loyal season ticket holders were not able to attend.

Tech Basketball is not to the point of our fans filling out planners with games as the #1 priority.

Maybe a little, but it's more McConathy than NSU. Coming off 2-2 I don't think USL would have been a bit better than McNeese was last night.

Like I said a couple weeks ago, the ULL loss killed our momentum and popped our hype bubble. We lost a lot of fans with that game.
