    Millsap

Dont know if anybody else has posted about it, but Millsap is ridiculous right now. Since Horford got hurt, he has really taken over. He is also shooting the 3 ball well this year. I always thought Paul would be a good role player in the NBA, but he has really worked on his game and expanded his range. He is averaging 18 pts and 8.5 rebounds per game. That is getting close to the top of the league for big men, not to mention he is around 10th in steals. I thought he would flourish at Atlanta, but his addition of the 3 ball really has taken him to another level.

He is playing at an All Star level. You're right, the inclusion of that 3 ball to his arsenal has made him more dangerous and he hits it at a high percentage. We're about to see how durable he is, because he's going to have to carry Atlanta with Horford out.

Agreed, more minute, more banging in the paint. Hopefully, that 3 ball will keep working and give him some room, and he will not have to grind in the paint as much on offense.

He does it very unassumingly also -

In the last 5 games he is avg 25.8ppg and 13.2rpg with a career high of 34pts against Boston. When they showed the highlights, all they wanted to talk about was Kelly Olynyk...smh

The 34 was a season high. He scored 46 on Nov. 9, 2010 when the Jazz beat the Heat in OT.

He has 15 double-doubles in 31 games this season. His numbers were pretty good, but they went up a little more after Al Horford was lost for the season.

Among Power Forwards in the Eastern Conference, Millsap is #1 in points, steals, minutes, and double doubles. He's also #2 in 3-pt FG %, #3 in assists, #4 in rebounds, and #6 in FG%.

Millsap should be an All-Star, yet he still continues to be one of the best kept secrets in the NBA.

Man, the East is soooo bad. One nice thing Paul can look forward to is that I think Atlanta gets the Nets draft spot this year, and it's looking to be a high pick.

    Re: Millsap

Many of those points came against Brandon Bass. If I'm not mistaken, Bass was named player of the year in Louisiana the year he and Paul graduated. I said that Paul was better than Bass and Big Baby but the state wouldn't recognize him as such because he signed with Tech and not LSU.
