The Journal-Gazette & Times Courier reports today -- 1-4-2014 -- that Louisiana Tech defensive coordinator Kim Damron "has confirmed" that he "is a candidate for the Eastern Illinois head football coaching job."
He was defensive coordinator there in 2005, when the school reached the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs "losing to Montana."

I don't believe he was given much power at Tech this year. So can't judge him on success in Ruston.
The newspaper got the spelling in the headline but not in the text. Shows you how the newspapers have laid off workers to the point where a page designer/headline writer (at least on the Internet version) was better at checking to see that names are spelled correctly.
