Today's Ruston paper has mostly only Grambling and Super Bowl articles. No Tech mention at all. However, the editorial is entitled Help Tech pack the TAC. Only mention of Charlotte is in second paragraph--"The Bulldogs (no apostrophe) next home game will be Thursday against Charlotte, but after that they'll face their biggest challenge of the season, and that's why they need you." I know they're talking about attendance but sounds like it's a major game with Charlotte only an afterthought.

Our AD says that we ARE promoting Charlotte.
He says that the coaching staff decided early in the year that Marshall was the game that needed to be the focus because of recruiting and TV.
He said that before the season they sat down to decide on which 4-5 games they needed to focus on for marketing. The obvious concern is that they put just as much effort towards WBB as they did in MBB. Very bad business.
What 4-5 games are we promoting? The only heavy promotion I've seen the entire season is Marshall. Are we getting heavy promotion for Tulsa, North Texas, Rice, and Middle Tennessee? Those are the only home games remaining afterward. I just don't get it.

Your right Maddawg, I am sure like you that if the admin... had not worried about the WBB, that they could have promoted each and every men's home games and they would have all been sell outs!
I guess it's a good thing that the Admin..., are true LaTech sports supporters and not just the men's sports....
Maybe they will come around soon and we will all be happy campers!

they could dump all women's sports.

No mention of Charlotte game in today's RDL. There's an article about Diaz and one about Techsters game tonight. I'm assuming there will be a brief article maybe in tomorrow's, but if one doesn't read the paper until late afternoon after work, it may be too late for the casual fan. Personally I'd like to hear about it before the day of. Oh, there is, however, a nice color ad for the Marshall game Saturday.
