Admittedly, I have only followed Canadian politics at the 100,000 foot level, but everything I have read recently about them indicates that the folks up there have their act together and are moving in the right direction.

Doesn't it seem like everyone tried leftist policies and they all failed so they are looking to America to see how it should be done and they are finding success now? While we are trying to embrace the failed leftist policies they are leaving! Our leaders are nuts! But, we are nuts for electing them, so it's our fault.

You are absolutely correct! However, some have the misguided notion that they can implement limited socialism and can stop when they want to, hence my "they think" quote. Socialism is like the Blob, it consumes everything in its path until there is nothing left to consume.
Capitalism is a cancer. It consumes a society. There's no halfway, and there's no going back.

The lefty Canadians think Harper is on the same "radical path" and destroying Canada. It's hard to read the stupidity. I may need a new computer again soon.
Every country is capitalistic. The difference is who receives the profits. In Fascistic and Communistic countries the government receives the profits. In free countries, the citizens receive the profits. History has shown it's insane to give business over the the government and let them control you. Mass murders usually ensue shortly.
