Louisiana Tech was determined to use the mini-bye this week to come out strong from the tip and take control of the game. That they did as the Bulldogs stifled Rice for an 85-46 win led by Kenyon McNeail who recorded a game-high 17 points, including the milestone of 1,000 career points, on Saturday night in front of 4,561 fans in the Thomas Assembly Center.

I think this can't be celebrated enough. Kenyon was on the post game last night. Dave talked to him about the fact that he came in as a freshman and was starting to then going through a coaching change and having to come off the bench. He was very honest and gracious with his remarks. Said that he was really pissed off at first, but then saw how great a pg Speedy is and how he feeds the ball, and that he didn't stay pissed and, basically, that it worked out. Happy to be part of the team as they all developed a special relationship, etc... Great young man to have playing for us.
