Welcome to the LA Tech Family Brandon. You have made a great choice.
Glad to see us grab a Tyler player. Welcome, welcome to the DAWGS!!
Also, it turns out that Florida State only offered 6'-7" 290 OT Ethan Frith a grayshirt situation for this year due to a shoulder injury. Frith was a teammate of current Bulldog DL Vernon Butler and is rumored to be looking at LSU and LA Tech now.

That would be a huge pick up for us... Coach Koonz recruited him, is no longer here. I hope Vernon Butler loves Tech and talking with Ethan...

Tech is doling out the defensive football offers. 3 more commitments today. The first two are teammates at Hahnville HS, the third guy is from Northwood HS.
Fred Brown DT 6-2 255 (#92 in the video http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1715593/fred-brown )
Dwaine Thomas DE 6-3 210 (#15 in the video http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/171538...ghts/104982375 )
La'Dante Davenport DT 6-2 255 (#12 in the video http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/130862...ights/32238521 )
Are these commitments for fall of 1915?
Prefer seeing "good" recruits commit later in the year, after summer camps. The good ones will get BCS offers and are usually lured away.
I know what ya mean... it doesn't mean much right now. However, I don't think we lost ANY of our early commits last year (even after the horrible season we had). These coaches seem like they build a great relationship with these recruits. They are recruiting for Tech like no others have done before them.
I think with the number we are getting this early, our earliest, speaks volumes about the effort they are giving right now. Kudos to the staff!!!!
Tech has its 5th commitment for 2015.
Aaron Roberson (5-9 181 S) from Huntington H.S. in Shreveport
