Dave said it was in and out... The espn 3 video looked liked it hit the backboard - then front rim and had a chance....was it that close in person?

Yes it was. Very close.
Too close. It spun out
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
It was very close.
Just be thankful there wasn't a foul on that shot!

The crowd was deafening after the Speedy putback and the missed final shot!
Way too close! While most were cheering i was watching the ball thinking "Crap, that has a chance."
I thought it was in. Lucky to get the win and they were a good bb team
I posted this in the Iona thread, but its so awesome I'm repeating it here.
Check out the last second shot and the refs reaction at the ~26 second mark, I think everyone had a oh **** moment.

They showed it this morning on ESPN, and it is on the FB site today. I couldn't believe it when I watched, and the crowd was so loud. I hated I had to miss it! From everyone I talked to that was there, it was a great experience and fun day to be a TECH fan.
One of the greatest games at the TAC. That was the most deafening crowd I have heard in a long time. Louder than the Tulsa game.
Scary close!
I thought when I was watching it live that I knew who defended that shot, but I wasn't sure.
Speedy! He never slowed after making probably the biggest shot of his career...
And then he was on the opposite side of the court celebrating when Iona's shot rimmed out.
Dude is a dynamo.
I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere, but it kind of fits here so I'll ask...
In the last minute we were up by 1 and Kyzer was called for a foul away from the ball. This lead to them going down the floor and getting what looked like a cheap foul on Anderson(?). They had been letting them get away with much worse all night.
Pretty sure the same guy made both calls. I think he is also the one who wouldn't give us the 1 and 1 on the offensive foul earlier.
How did all this look on TV and what were the announcers saying?
Didn't see the Kyser foul. Camera was focused mid-court and they didn't do a replay. Anderson's foul was played a few times. It was just a bunch of guys going for the ball, and Chris was the unlucky one to get the foul. Laury was just bigger and stronger, and had most of the ball, hence the foul. I thought the game was called fairly. They pretty much let them play.
Announcers didn't question the call. They were having too much fun. Very complimentary of both teams.
