Yep, the scheduling gods helped out, by giving us a week-end out of conference play.

There is still a possibility to drag this out a while longer though.

Marshall and Charlotte are both on the outside looking in and we play those two in the next two series. Middle is playing .500 ball on the season.

Stay alive for two more weeks and then all we have to do is sweep Rice in Houston the last week-end of the season.

That means... today could be the day. Basically to the point of winning out with a whole lot of losses by a whole lot of teams. Frankly, we may be already mathematically eliminated based upon who plays who from here on out. I just don't have the inclination to look it up because I think it is safe to assume the inevitable.
