Does anyone know if Bob Ramsey is still a play by play guy somewhere?
Works at the E$PN Radio affiliate in Saint Louis and does play-by-play for Saint Louis University basketball.

And no mention of Ramsey should come without linking to this gem.

I sat in with the Nitzer one game last summer when driving through Sioux City. They love their Nitzer up there, too.
"The 2014 season will mark Nitz’s 33rd year in minor league baseball broadcasting and his sixth season as the ‘Voice of the X’s. A radio broadcast veteran, Nitz has been calling collegiate and professional athletic events for over 50 years.
“KSCJ is honored to continue our partnership with the X’s as the only radio home of Explorers baseball in team history,” comments Powell Broadcasting General Manager, Dennis Bullock. We consider it a great service to X’s fans and our listeners in and around Sioux City. Veteran broadcaster Dave Nitz has become synonymous with summer and we are excited that Dave is back again for another baseball season. We are also pleased to announce the addition of Shawn Tiemann to the broadcast team. Dave and Shawn will surely make up one of the premiere broadcast teams in the league and we are proud to have them on KSCJ.”
In his 33 years of minor league baseball broadcasting, Nitz’s has called the games for the Texas Rangers’ Triple-A farm team in Oklahoma City, the former San Francisco Giants’ Double-A team in Shreveport, LA and the Baltimore Orioles’ Single-A team in Bluefield, WV. In addition to his affiliated experience, Nitz has been with independent league teams in Baton Rouge and Shreveport, LA. Throughout his career, he has broadcasted over 3,500 minor league baseball games.
“We are excited to continue our longstanding partnership and relationship with 1360 KSCJ, as their staff has done a tremendous job of putting Explorers baseball on the airwaves for the Siouxland community to enjoy for over two decades,” commented VP/General Manager, Shane Tritz on all 100 X’s games being carried on 1360 KSCJ once again in 2014. “Dave is one of the best in the business and it is a true pleasure to have him serve as the “voice of the X’s” again this season as our fans will once again be treated to a first class broadcast thanks to Dave and the staff at 1360 KSCJ.”

It's a crying shame we can't pay him enough to have him as a full time employee
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Truly a labor of love for Nitz. He loves broadcasting baseball. Even if Tech tripled his salary, or whatever, he would still want to be affiliated, in some way, with calling professional baseball during the summer months.
Hopefully he continues to come back in the fall and doesn't decide to stay up there.
