Well, the article says that she is only a junior, so there is plenty of time left. If we can land one or two good recruits this season, that would be a good start. The next step would be showing improvement as a team next season. Then you can talk about the future of the program and she will understand the vision, because she will be able to see the improvements for herself. Plenty of time, but no time to waste.

There's not plenty of time left. Unlike football, basketball has an early signing period. Players the caliber of Kalani already have their lists narrowed and are nearing their decisions heading into the summer after their junior seasons. She should commit sometime in early fall and sign in November. I'm afraid it's too late in the game to get involved in a big fish like this one.

Yes- I am sure she already has her list narrowed. Whoever gets her is going to be winning for the 4 years she is there for sure. She is quite the player!
As many athletes that switch between the time of a verbal and commitment, I think we still have time. It would take a LOT to convince her, though. We are going to have to prove that we are serious about rebuilding.

That would be a major miracle if that was pulled off. I know we were not on the original 3 list. If we got on the list, it would be huge. She is going to make someone a champion wherever she goes.
I agree and this is the type player that we need to bring in another top 10 player. That is how it will begin. Bring one in and start building it back, by recruiting others to see the vision.

Most of these girls play AAU ball and know each other. Surely they communicate with each other. They could do like the Miami Heat, let's all get together and go to one college. Probably some NCAA rule against that.
