    New York Times:

Great pic of Barmore, Pat, and Tyler.. All the pics are of Tyler, but it just mentions him in one section stating that his hire at Tech was probably the biggest story during the NC week. Hate that they have a pic of Barmore, Pat, and Tyler and don't mention that Barmore was one of the frontrunners in the sport. His winning percentage is still tops in the country.

I heard he was very visible in texas this past weekend...heard pro and negative remarks from other coaches there. Be interesting how he is treated on the trail, but all that matters is can he coach and get players...

I think the young man has learned more than the Xs and Os from his mother. He has learned how to carry himself in difficult situations which is where most if not all 23 year olds would fall down. This young man will succeed and there will be many naysayers in the beginning.

I agree! Thanks revf for the latest article! This guy was born to do this and it seems that we are very lucky to get him!

Interesting that the staff would be recruteing Texas when none of the coaching staff is from that area, that must mean that the staff it's self does not have any one in particular on their radar from areas they know!
4 coaches and not a one that knows of a BIG that might be available
that they might have a personal relationship and a real possibility of getting?
Wishing them luck but still tinking the jury is out!

    Re: Great Story

This past weekend was a designated evaluation weekend by the NCAA. The coaches attended the Heart of Texas event in Frisco, Texas. This event dubbed #HOT is an annually event where are the big boys attend. Dawn Staley, Chris Dailey from UCONN, etc were also in attendance. A number of the kids at this event would be included in the 2015 recruiting class. As far as 2014 goes, the coaches have been actively recruiting the JUCO and transfer circuit to find help for the 2014-2015 season. Arkansas just picked up Katie Powell who had originally committed to TCU but decommitted when there was a coaching change. However, one of Arkansas' new assistant coaches was the at TCU and was recruiting Katie. Trinity Valley Junior College still has a 6'4 post player that is unsigned. I know that Coach Johnson has seen her play. I think if we are patient we will see 1-2 players added for next year's team.

Thanks for the information. That was helpful. I do know that we are looking mostly at JUCO's for the late signing period. Do you know the big that Spoon was excited about? Spoon mentioned her during an interview at the CUSA tournament, but not a name.
