Watch Out for RFID Credit Cards

Just thought you guys should know about this:

Check your newer credit cards for the Wi-Fi Symbol on it. You need to watch the video to really know why this is important. You can ask your bank to replace it with a non Wi-Fi, Radio Frequency Card.

I read that American credit cards were getting harder to use in Europe because most have already went to a chip and PIN card. I would think all of those RFID cards would need you to enter a PIN?

RFID credit cards are far more secure than the current credit cards we have. They require pins to be entered every time that match the signal. The numbers can't be stolen (target mess would have never happened), and they can be deactivated immediately.

Europe uses them exclusively and they will be in the states exclusively in 2015.

That is what I thought. But how did that guy make a purchase without the PIN?

As I understand it, the RFID cards are different from the Chip and PIN or the Chip and Signature cards. The Chip and PIN or Chip and Signature have to be read by inserting into a machine while the RFID is read by being in the proximity of a reader.
