You should probably drop them anyway. They are failing, hence why they want to prevent you from doing anything that isn't through them.
The free market has spoken. The free market is against current telecom business model. The problem is, the free market can't do much anything about it (Google can only do so much) because of anti-free market forces from the government and telecoms.
