I am not a soccer fan, but I will pull for the Good Old USA anyway.

That's what I don't understand about people who complain about soccer -- or anything for that matter. We have so many choices in our lives these days that is very easy to simply ignore something. Don't care about the World Cup? Don't watch it!

True, but I was speaking specifically of when Gus would be heard as the voice of the World Cup. He can already be heard on a number of Fox soccer broadcasts.

It is hogging the channels and ESPN coverage.

Last time I checked, it's on one channel at a time. There are at least four different ESPN channels.

I don't understand the love for fox sports. They don't have an app like watchespn that live streams the games.

Not looking forward to football season because I don't get fs2 or whatever. At least in the espn contract we were always on some screen (espn3 and such)

Guess you haven't downloaded Fox Sports Go . . . . . Had it since last fall.

Just peeled myself off the ceiling where I leaped to on Brooks' goal, yeah baby!

The good: we beat Ghana, got 3 pts.

The bad: we stunk, worst game Michael Bradley has played in a long time, maybe ever. Ghana won TOP at least 60-40%, although it seemed more like 70% possession by them. Our midfield got destroyed! And that by the youngest team in the 32-team field. Doesn't bode well going forward. Of course, NO WAY MB plays that poorly again. No way!

The ugly: injuries. Jozy's is the worst. Dempsey is a gamer and will overcome the broken nose. But, w/o Altidore up top Klinsman' single-minded offensive strategy has been nullified. Gee...I wonder who might have helped the US now.

Just for the record, as posted before, Landon Donovan, Eddie Johnson, and Clarence Goodson all made MY WC roster. Now we see why having veterans you can call on is so critical.

I still think we can steal one from Portugal. They looked awful.

Bradley was a no show. Running time off you drive the ball out the corner...

Beckerman looked good. He is definitely WC caliber.

Jones showed flashes. Beasley kept his side clean.

Howard was out of position on the Ghana score.

Without Altidore I wager we will see a lot more set pieces.

I wonder if Wondo should get the start over Aron against Portugal. He won't create much more but he will help on defense against Rinaldo

We lost the TOP battle 68-32. That's why it seemed like 70 percent -- it almost was!!! I'm not a big fan of the midfield that we started, but I know that Klinsmann is. If he's intent on starting Bradley, Beckerman and Jones together, I wish he'd go with a 4-2-3-1 with Beckerman and Jones at defensive mid and Bradley at attacking mid. Zusi should be starting on the right. If he's intent on keeping the same midfield, then I'd say push Dempsey up top into a true striker role (instead of going with Aron or Wondo) and then put Mix in Dempsey's attacking role.

We better get a result vs. Portugal. And by that, I mean 3 pts. That combined with Germany beating Ghana puts us and the Germans thru and our match with them will be for the pool's #1 spot only. Important, but secondary to advancing.

If the Germans are in to it, or feel the need to win, they will gash us! We have no midfield.

How about a 5-5-0 vs. Germany!
