Time we need to stop thinking that the current players are dogs and the coach has to clean house. That is not the case. I think Goff will be surprised by some of the talent he has on board.
Remember several games were one run games. This team played several teams that finished strongly in C-USA tough. One run games are won by coaching most of the time.
Tired of hearing we are in the talent poor house with the players we have. . Anyone who understands baseball in depth can see these things.
The facts are as follows:
1. Simoneaux didn't react quick enough to making changes in starting rotation when needed. That accounts for a least 3 losses.
2. Simoneaux in 5 close games ran us out of innings with scoring opportunities = That at least 5 losses I know of.
3. Managing the line-up: Stayed with players not hitting too long and in the wrong places - That's at least 3 losses.
So add it up:
11 losses that become wins makes a 15-35 season a 26 win 24 loss season over .500 and in the tournament.
Betting Goff doesn't make those mistakes.
So please quit acting like we are in a talent poor house when we are not and enjoy the view from the coaching penthouse.

I haven't seen anyone bashing the current players...that is what is aggravating, most of us think we have some talent to win...most of us have said all along that we are way better than 15 wins. At the end of the day, it falls back on the coach for the wins, or lack thereof. I'm thinking we will probably be 10-12 games better than next year. Should be at a .500 record or within a few games of it.

First, congratulations to Jake Slaughter for the offer. If you have seen Jake play, you will know he is the real deal. Tech did the right thing to offer, and would be fortunate to get him. Hell, any program will be lucky to get him. He's that good.
Second, thank you Dwayne and Skill for the kind words about Doc. He has had an incredible run this year and it is nice to see him get some attention.
Third, just in case I have left any misconceptions, Doc's only firm offer has been from BPCC. He has accepted the offer and has made it clear that he is fully committed to BPCC. It is the best chance he has of getting significant mound time as a freshman.
Doc is finally turning some heads, but he has heard nothing solid like Jake has. It would be more at the level of inquiries.
Doc will go to Tech if he is ever offered. That is his dream. But, he wants to pitch at the D1 level, so he will entertain any D1 offers. Right now, we pray he does well enough at BPCC to make that happen. It's up to him to make himself a no brainer like Jake has done.
It's time to close the doors to the Temple of Janus.
