On a side note, I think she is the one calling all these shots that he finds out about in the news..... IRS targetting Tea Party, DOJ syping on reporters, Fast and Furious, etc... Could be the AG too though.

The House may impeach him, but the Senate will never convict him. Isn't that how it works?

He should have been impeached long ago.

After November the GOP should have the senate as well.

I hope so but have doubts. The dems fluff trumps substance unfortunately.

Right off FOX website. Doubt it will be on Obama's or Clinton's MSNBC's or CNN's tonight or ever for that matter. It's not up there yet.

'SHOCKING' DISCOVERY: Lerner sought IRS audit of GOP senator
    • CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATORS uncover emails showing ex-IRS official Lois Lerner, left, targeted sitting Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, right, for a proposed internal audit,
    • a discovery one GOP lawmaker called 'shocking.'
And Drudge Report has it too!

Even the liberal owned AOL has the story up front.

Liberal ran, not specifically owned. Conservatives have ownership, too.

And Aol. has always been mostly even in their coverage of general news, but a lot of the time it is tabloid-light.

Yep. Some people use it still because it is way too much of a hassle to switch email addresses. Others because they don't want to learn anything new. Some because it is not Microsoft or Google, yet reliable (mostly). Loads of other reasons.

Back on topic, auditing congressmen and congresswomen is a job they are supposed to do. If given a reason to, like they might of had with Grassley, it is a must. At worst, all that was happening was someone was watching a little more closely to see if Grassley accepted the invitation and didn't report the income. Then, there would be grounds for an audit.

In light of everything else, it doesn't look good. However, the sentences in question are "Looked like they were inappropriately offering to pay for his wife. Perhaps we should refer to Exam?" Without further evidence, it is impossible to know whether she was suggesting further inquiry of Grassley or the organization who invited him and offered to pay for his wife.

There is that, too. But I have little doubt if the IRS were to audit the group, they would also audit the congressmen if he didn't do things the right way.

I was audited this year for the 2011 tax year. They tried to tell me I couldn't deduct $2700 I spent through my HSA on my medical care. There are some really ignorant and arrogant people that work for the IRS. They don't even know their own laws. I hope Lerner spends some time in prison. She's definitely guilty of destroying those emails.

REP. BOB GOODLATTE (R-VA): Professor Turley, the constitution, the system of separated powers is not simply about stopping one branch of government from usurping another. It's about protecting the liberty of Americans from the dangers of concentrated government power. How does the president's unilateral modification of act of Congress affect both the balance of power between the political branches and the liberty interests of the American people?

JONATHAN TURLEY: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The danger is quite severe. The problem with what the president is doing is that he's not simply posing a danger to the constitutional system. He's becoming the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid. That is the concentration of power in every single branch.

So Boehner is suing Obama for dismissing Congress and going it alone. Turley spoke with MSNBC yesterday and had this to say:

STEVE KORNACKI, msnbc: Legally speaking, is there any kind of a case here?

JONATHAN TURLEY, PROFESSOR OF LAW: Oh, I think there is a case against the president for exceeding his authority. I happen to agree with the president on many of his priorities and policies, but as I testified in Congress, I think that he has crossed the constitutional line.

KORNACKI: Where has he crossed it? Like what specific issue has he crossed it on?

TURLEY: When the president went to Congress and said he would go it alone, it obviously raises a concern. There's no license for going it alone in our system, and what he's done, is very problematic. He has shifted $454 million of the ACA from appropriated purpose to another purpose. He's told agencies not to enforce some laws, like immigration laws. He has effectively rewritten laws through the active interpretation that I find very problematic. While I happen to agree with him, I voted for him, I think this is a problem.

    Clearly a racist!
