I like our Bulldog logo a lot. I don't like it on our helmets. But, I guess one time won't kill me..........maybe.

I'd rather the LATECH logo in the background. This just.. doesn't look right. Good for tshirts and other merch, but not the helmet. Quit messing with something that didn't need messing with to begin with.

I don't like this logo on our helmets (instead of the perfect logo we already have), but that ugly LaTech logo would be roughly 1 million times worse. It's bad enough we when stick that thing on a cheap plastic cup. Putting it on our football helmets would horrendous.

It's the time of year I like to refer to as "Sports Purgatory". The only sports we have at this time of year are midseason baseball and training camps for NFL. I think we're all just bored and need something to gripe about, lol.

My point is that we are so disorganized on branding as a whole (which extends to every corner of the university, not just athletics) that we don't need to be introducting *anything* "special" until we nail down a good base.

Other than that, the helmet just looks bad (to me, someone obviously liked it).

As I saw suggested on Twitter, maybe it would look better if the dawg was facing forward and not backward?

On the opposite side of the helmet, the logo will be facing forward.

That would mean a whole new set of helmets. This decal they can just slap on existing helmets like last year's Army helmet.

I like the idea a lot and really like that they are finally trying to be creative, but I would perfer to see something silimar to this:

And let it be written, on this 29th day of July in the two-thousandth and fourteenth year of our Lord, the powers that be in the Athletics Department at Louisiana Tech University came down from the mountain with a blasphemous image for the people of BBB. The BBBers were not amused though, and thus began the great helmet logo riot of late summer 2014.

If you think BBB is bad, you better check out the comments on facebook. Let's just say that this decal is not very popular.

And to QNG's point, yes, it is lame that our SID is revealing a new decal while other schools are revealing new sets of uniforms from head to toe. It's better for stupid ideas like this be saved as gameday surprises.

I can understand your point. I personally like the bulldog logo even though it's fairly new. I don't think it's too serious of a branding issue though since it's just for one game.
