I have been very open to the changes to our uniforms the past few years.

I don't mind the stripe on the helmet
I was ok with the stars and stripes state-T logo last year (although I thought it looked amatuerishly designed)
I actually prefer the red T on the blue state for out main helmet logo

but this one looks bad. I do not like it.

That being said, it's just a sticker and it's just for one game. I will survive.

If you think BBB is bad, you better check out the comments on facebook. Let's just say that this decal is not very popular.

And to QNG's point, yes, it is lame that our SID is revealing a new decal while other schools are revealing new sets of uniforms from head to toe. It's better for stupid ideas like this be saved as gameday surprises.

Also, I've hated that bulldog since before it was official, I actually had some input on the logo when it was being updated and that dog was an 11th hour addition that Mrs. Reneau loved based on a painting. I told Buskirk it was absolutely horrible and it shouldn't be associated with Tech ever, of course it was chosen...

This apparently is one of Mrs. Reneau's favorite paintings of Tech and was the basis for our logo, looks like his head is made from a bag of testicle skin, I hate it and the logo it inspired...

I like it ok. It's on the freshman shirts (which I've worn to every athletic event since becoming a student), so it has some special meaning to me. That being said, if it were never used again I wouldn't complain.

I think it's a smart way (inexpensive and temporary), to throw out an alternative helmet and do something a little different. It's not like we aren't using an official logo so not sure what all the outrage is about. It is for one game vs UTEP. If it doesn't look good on field or tv, we don't have to do it again.

It shouts "small-time". It's not an alternative helmet. It's alternate helmet decal. We should not be sending out official releases for a decal change that will be only used for one game.
