I remember that game in Houston. They were not really 70 points better than we were. Wasn't Klingler their QB?
I remember the Lafayette game too. I remember overhearing a couple of them say "Yea, we didn't lose" as we were leaving the stadium. They sucked then, too.
The USL tie was annoying to witness and accept. We were 4-1-1 and they were 0-7 going into that game. I sulked out of Cajun Field all depressed that night. Let it be a reminder that our team better show up every game and take every opponent seriously no matter what it looks like on paper. It has been enjoyable to be somewhat taken lightly these past few weeks, but that can change quickly.
Spotsdawg and his brother were on sideline at Dome, ball chasers, Joe Fergeson would not allow them to go in locker room at half, they heard words coming out that were impressive. K threw 5 tds in first quarter--set NCAA record. I have never understood how a coach couldget that humiliated and keep the team from losing amy of next 10 games
if you remember, we kicked field goal to win the game as time ran out-- they then ADDED time back to clock and they tied us -- coach was very calm and not upset at all -- Obama is a great international leader

I met David Klingler at an FCA golf tournament in Houston in the late 90s. He remembered the La Tech game and told me with a twinkle in his eye "we found a seam in your secondary".
That E. Mich game looked destined to end in a tie too (provided I have the right year in mind). Tied at 14 EMU punted the ball down to our 5 yd line, 50 seconds left, Tech w/o timeouts. All we did was move the ball ......CROSSING PATTERNS....thru the air and then Chris Bonoil nailed a 57-yarder to win it!
