And I think that nearly all of us think that if we score less than 25 we have basically no chance of winning....

1000 since this is the best USL team ever. Seriously, 30 points should do it. Tech 31 USL 28

I really think we will see what Diaz will bring on not bring to the table with this game -

Will the defense be shredded like Army & Rice last year or will they respond and justify the expectations in his hire?

35 may not even do it. I doubt we will score more than 24, as USL is bringing back a bunch on defense. Even if we score 35, their offense may hang 40+ on us. If we do manage to stop Broadway (that means keep him under 150 yards ) they still have run-at-will backs in Harris and McGuire that will be hard to keep out of the end zones.

Diaz adjusted well too, after giving up too many yards to ULL's Harris in that soft middle during the 1st Qtr and early part of the 2nd Qtr.

    Final stats:

    Harris: 12 rushes, 74 yards (6.2), 1 TD
    McGuire: 7 rushes, 15 yards (1.5), 0 TD

    Harris: 1 rec, 6 yards
    McGuire: 4 rec, 19 yards

Harris was a load, but we took McGuire completely out of the game. 114 total yards combined from those 2 is very nice defense. (Dixon had 187 yards). We pretty much forced Broadway to beat us and he couldn't get it done.

Re: How Many Points Needed to Beat the Cajuns?

    From the Advertiser game recap...

Running back Elijah McGuire – who ran for 129 yards the prior Saturday in a win over Southern – had just 15 yards on seven carries. MCGUIRE'S ABSENCE: McGuire exited early in the second half and did not return.
A UL spokesman said McGuire was medically cleared to return. Asked why he did not, Hudspeth said, "Don't know the answer."

Re: How Many Points Needed to Beat the Cajuns?

    Pete Roussel's Week 2 Takeaways:

    7. One year ago today, Manny Diaz was dismissed as the defensive coordinator at Texas. Today, he’s one of the happiest coaches in the country because his defense recorded three takeaways including a pick-6 in LA Tech’s stunning 48-20 win on the road against UL-Lafayette.

    8. Meanwhile in Austin, BYU ran for 259 yards in the Cougars 41-7 win over Texas. Charlie Strong said, "It's an embarrassment to this university and this program."
