Kenneth Dixon Sets 3 Records in 1 Play

The first score of the night came from Kenneth Dixon who broke off a 99-yard touchdown run after the Bulldogs were pinned at their one yard line from a ULL punt. The run that came at the 4:25 mark of the first quarter was
1. the longest run in LA Tech history,
2. the longest play in LA Tech history, and
3. the longest run in Conference USA history.

For LA Tech, the previous record was 88 yards by Gerald Lawrence on Nov. 9, 1991 versus Southern Illinois. For C-USA, the previous record was 96 yards by Houston's Antowain Smith at Pittsburgh on Sept. 14, 1996.
LA Tech's previously longest play in history was 94 yards (Tim Rattay to Troy Edwards vs. Nebraska on Aug. 29, 1998 and Denny Duron to Mike Barber vs. ULL on Sept. 21, 1973).

Ha! Me and my dad were saying the same thing. Kenneth didn't care where he started cause he knew where he was gonna finish it! My 8 month old was looking at me like I was out of my mind jumping up and down in the living room.

Overall, Louisiana Tech forced three turnovers with a pick-six by Xavier Woods and fumble recoveries by Le'Vander Liggins and Lloyd Grogan.

C.J. Cleveland led the Bulldogs defensively with 14 total tackles, 10 unassisted and four assisted, while Bryson Abraham and Woods each had six total tackles to help lead LA Tech to a victory.

And congrats to these DEFENSIVE guys too.
