Conf Cusa Conference USA: The Cream of the G-5

    An interesting fact:

After two weeks, C-USA is a perfect 7-0 in games against other G-5 conference schools:

    2-0 AAC (UNT-SMU, UTSA-Houston)
    2-0 Sun Belt (LaTech-Lafayette, UAB-Troy)
    2-0 MAC (WKU-BGSU, Marshall-MiamiOH)
    1-0 MWC (UTEP-UNM)

I am not sure yet how the performance-based pie is to be divided, but, it seems like this would be a great start to being at the top.

There is a lot of nice in-state and/or historic rivalry stuff going on in that list.

    Feels pretty good.

Anything with F_U is going to be a concern.

We ought to be at least competitive in most of the rest of those. Be awesome to sweep.

Actually, Vegas has a pick-em on Tulsa-FAU for next weekend. The other three lines are C-USA teams favored by double-digits.

Anything with a team at sea level playing a team at Wyoming with tall grass is going to be a concern! How Wyoming isn't a National Championship contender every year is beyond me.

And North Texas can claim the first head coaching scalp of the season after June Jones called it quits after the North Texas-SMU game.

Well MTSU will have trouble against Memphis (judging from their game against UCLA in LA), and unfortunately FIU already lost to an FCS school :bigcry:, also, Southern Miss looked woeful against Alcorn State...

Well every conference has a couple of doormats. I think we'll be ok as long as everyone else takes care of business.

My thoughts exactly. Besides Auburn, I see UTSA for sure givng us trouble, and maybe WKU.

Don't forget Rice. They're at Ruston, too. Think they're at A&M this week.
