Good to play some of these games, get some confidence for the season. I usually don't like these types of games - but under current circumstances.

Also LSUA is playing a crazy schedule as 1st year team

Alabama A&M came to us last year. Spoon and their head coach Semela Randall are friends. The contract was signed prior to coaching change

Not an attractive non -conference schedule; however, there are some good road tests. Remember, most of the schedule was locked in by Spoon. Summitt's staff was only able to add a couple of games (Utah and 1 other)

My issue is i understand tyler had little room to move some things...but he should have said heck no to going to some of these venues

I'm not sure how much of a choice he really had. He probably could have bought out games but who would he have replaced them with? Most teams had their schedules set by that point. This year was more a case of going with what was available and/or already scheduled. I guarantee next year will be a different story, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't already have most of the ooc schedule organized.

I agree and Tyler even stated that this is not a great schedule. He will improve it for next year - no doubt!

Wow, just 2 non-conference games!
Nothing good about this schedule either for the Techsters or the Fans in North La.!
Fortunately for me I will get the chance to make the Florida Alantic and Florida International games down here in South Florida!
I will admit I am very excited about that!

More to the point in question, Semeka Randall's relationship with Tyler goes back farther. She won the '98 National Championship her freshman year at Tennessee. That girl played some tenacious D'.

Worth remembering that Pat's influences include loyalty to family/friends and being an ambassador for the ladies' game. Those traits may appear less sophisticated in today's fiscally competitive environment... but gotta figure Tyler will remain "old school" in some aspects.

Hopefully that kind of respect for schedule will benefit us down the road... when bigger schools suddenly don't want to face li'l ol' La Tech.
