I just read through the agenda for the LSU System Board of Supervisors meeting this month. I saw two letters from Larry Clark (the new LSU-S Chancellor) to Dr. Alexander, LSU President. Things seem to be going from bad to worse at LSU-Shreveport.

The letter dated July 31, 2014 states that the LSU-S reserves "are just about exhausted", and the university eliminated $585,000 in positions to start the current fiscal year. This letter is found on page 69 of the attached link to the LSU meeting agenda.

The second letter dated August 15, 2014 states that 4114 students attend the university (as of Fall 2013), but 775 of them are high-school dual-enrollment students from which LSU-S receives little money. This letter is found on Pages 729-732 of the LSU meeting agenda link.
