Ole Darby is right at 4 1/2 months now and getting bigger by the day. here we are at the end of april but starting to anticipate the cool breezes coming through in October.

seems like just yesterday we picked this little fire breather up from the breeder in Lake Arthur. Its been an absolute joy working with this wild woman and despite her trainers total lack of ability a few weeks ago she was able to pick up her final seasoned test pass that earned her the Hunting Retriever title. At this point I probably wont go any further with her with the hunt test. I really feel that with her at this point, and with some time in the duck blind working she'll turn into one heck of a duck dog. I pray for many years with this new hunting partner of ours but regardless I'll treasure every moment we watch the skies together looking for that next flock to drop down into to the spread.
