Old Dominion at Rice

The story has been Rice injuries. I think they have had 4 go down with something, but so far only the starting QB hasn't returned since it just happened on the TD pass.

ODU absolutely stole Navy's uniforms.
Maybe 5k in attendance.

I think most of you would describe this game as SLOOOOOOWWWW. Looks similar to ULL and UNT.



Bowling Green holding their own against Wisconsin, 7-7. Might have more to do with Wisconsin screwing up, though.
Troy losing to Georgia 0-14 in bottom of 1st.

Old Dominion D plays dirty. They will pull your facemask. They will try to pull off your helmet. And it is not just "playing the game" actions. Clear intent.

Western Illinois and Northwestern are tied 7-7.

Watching Vah Tech and Jah Tech. Can we please get film of every ACC game that Jah Tech plays? Then we would know how to defend when we play he option.

Question. The OD QB is punter. When the punter takes off running (as rugby style or to pass) is roughing the punter still called. It seems when a team quick kicks or runs, the roughing penalty should not even be considered.

I think losing to ULL would have made even the strongest of us miss the first home game. But we don't have to worry about that either way.

How do you have a shovel pass that goes up the middle, past linemen and backs??? That should never be a successful play! Are defenses just extrememly blind to the middle of the field past the line of scrimmage? It is like the only way to fail up the middle is if you screw yourself up.

Heinicke is one to keep an eye on. That was a beautiful pass. He is 19/26, 308 yds, 3 TD and a 5-ydTD run in the first half. I know Rice has some injuries, but that is still great stats to have.

ODU's QB Heinike looks IMPRESSIVE. I've heard he's good but have never seen him play before today. Over 300 yards passing in the first half vs Rice. ODU up 28-14 almost to the half. Heinike has excellent pocket presence and you can just tell that he's experienced and very calm and collected
