Thanks for posting that.
I also have many memories of Tad Gormley (City Park) Stadium. My dad played for Holy Cross, so as wee-little kids, we went to HC games there to root for those Tigers. I still have a Holy Cross pennant, with the date of 1964 written on it. After my older brother went to Rummel, and I followed 3 years later, our family switched our allegiance to Rummel, of course. But I still have great memories of rooting for HC at old Tad Gormley!
But, as a player and as a alum/fan of Rummel, EJ (now Yenni) Stadium holds precious memories.
Coach Henry Rando, quoted in the article, was DC when I played.....the Super Ants!
Rummel 10 Jesuit 7 Now 8-0.
Tough struggle tonite.
Rummel 45 Bro. Martin 24 Now 10-0.
Get a 1st round bye in the playoffs. Reportedly, will get a #2 seed behind Curtis. BS! Byrd is likely a #3 seed, if everything holds. Which means if everyone wins out as expected, Rummel and Byrd will meet in the semis.
Byrd will be #1.
Byrd is on the public side this year - not select
John Curtis & Evangel will be in Division I bracket
