The ball was already live before the UTEP player touched it and didn't control it. If the play had stood Kansas State would have been charged with a fumble lost for not recovering the blocked punt and allowing UTEP to pick the ball up and advance it.Originally Posted by sportdawg

Michigan St is killing Wyoming 28-7 in bottom of 2nd.
TCU beating SMU 14-0 in middle of second. SMU failed to convert 4th-and-goal.
Possession changed to Kansas State when the ball was kicked on the punt. If Kansas State had covered the ball, there would have not been another possession change. A fumble would have had to be recorded to change possession from Kansas State back to UTEP to account for the Miners advancing the ball. If the play had stood, UTEP would have then lost the ball on downs since first down yardage was not gained.
Tulane has definitely become Tulame again...Greenies losing 21-0 at Rutgers midway through the 2nd.
Pillow Fight of the Year might have been SMU vs Tulame, but the two teams don't play this year.
I just want to reiterate that UTEP/KSU game is ugly.
Too bad we don't have a good special teams- Livas would have had a field day next week
That was pretty cool. KSU RB ran into one of his linemen, and the linemen went "hey, let me carry you the five yards to the endzone."
