So, LA Tech generated 321 yards of offense, and gave up 473 yds to Auburn. We ran 68 total offensive plays, while Auburn ran 70. Not a total waste.

We were in position to make plays on their touchdown passes, but failed to do so. In fact, I thought our defense was in good position for the majority of the game. Gotta make the plays though!

85-85, but they had some freek athletes. Our freeks played scared.
I did not come away impressed with Auburn at all. If their QB gets injured, they have nothing. Most of those jump balls that were thrown up today would have been picked by aggressive CB's.
Funny, I thought the backup QB looked like he should be the starter. But I agree, their OL is not very good... they are going to have to make plays in the passing game or they will lose a few games. Defense is stout.Originally Posted by SicemDawgz
You have to remember he came in late when our players were gassed. Mahlzan loves the QB read option, and I'm not sure that guy is a good fit to run it.
He found some open receivers though. It looked like Marshall would rather run than throw... unless he was throwing up some jump balls in the end zone on busted plays. I think they are going to need to platoon those 2 QBs to win SEC games. Marshall's better for Malzahn's offense, but Johnson gives them a better passing game, imo.
....and at least 3 of them would have been picked off by DB's who can actually CATCH a football.
If DB's could actually catch footballs they would be WR's not DB's.
