UTEP Game
UTEP should be a very competitive matchup that will be fun to watch. They recently lost by 30 to K State, but did put up 28 points on them. Don't forget, K State played toe to toe with Auburn. Also, UTEP lost to a Texas Tech team, who is granted, overrated, by only 4 points in Lubbock. Needless to say, I expect a sea of red and a competitive game that hopefully swings our way and moves us to 2-0 in conference!
We are favored by 13. If this game is close, it further exposes our coaching staff.

2-4 so far at home for them so they could creep up on .500 and give the squad a 3-0 start in the west division

I give them credit for that Army debacle since it was a home game and so many Tech fans made the trip to Dallas so 2-5 is not going to cut it.
Our coaches will prepare for this UTEP game much the same way they did for the UNT game. UTEP's starting QB is none other than Jameill Showers, Johnny Manziel's old backup at Texas A&M. Showers transferred to UTEP and sat out last year. Showers is horrible, although he was 18 of 28 for 201 yards in the KSU loss. He's got a weak passing arm, and he's very nervous in the pocket.
For UTEP, this will be all about the running game. They do have a very solid RB named Aaron Jones. Jones, 5-10, 185, rushed 18 times for 121 yards against LA Tech last year as a FRESHMAN. Jones has already rushed for 600 yards in 4 games this year.

If we lose 2 games in a row in Ruston, we would be lucky to draw flies for any other game in Ruston this year. This is a must win game for Skip.
We need some assignment football not unlike we should of had against Army. Some needs to take sole responsibility of taking on their viking TE.
Showers played for UTEP last year. He was 18/33 for 237 yards, 3 TD, 1 Int against us.
I still don't agree with, why there just doesn't seem to be any will to correct the mental errors. I don't think having almost no one show up would be a good thing, as those that are yelling already would just be heard even more.
Wish I could be there. Will be out of town.

What is wrong with y'all? It sounds like you think we are going to lose this game. It could happen, but we are favored by double digits! If we win we are 2-0 in conference and there should be a big crowd for UTSA after the Bye week. Glass is always half empty around here.
