It seems like almost every team in the top ten has vulnerabilities with no team looking totally dominate.

Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida State and Baylor/Texas A&M
Whoever has the most media attention and money.
The top 4 teams at the end of the season (SORRY - I HAD TO)
Can't argue with that.
But, of course, it depends on who plays who. Oklahoma and Baylor play, so the winner of that game, one would think, will punch a ticket to the Final Four.
Other key games:
Florida State vs. Notre Dame
Can Georgia Tech slip in by running the table, including beating FSU in the conf title game?
Oregon? If they run the table, sitting unbeaten, they will probably be in.
The SEC.....likely to beat each other up, but I can't see the SEC champion, whoever it is, not being included.
The Big 10.....not likely to be in the conversation. Just don't see anyone worthy.
Final Four:
SEC Champion
Oklahoma/Baylor winner
Oregon
Florida State
That's my list.
I think there are way too many unbeatens left right now to make a call.
Too many teams control their own destiny. Notre Dame beats Stanford.
Watch out...
Nebraska beats Michigan State this weekend, and runs the table, they are probably in. I think their OOC slate is going to be viewed positively (outside of the McNeese ordeal). A road win against a top-end MWC program Fresno and a win against Miami.
I honestly believe this might just be one year where $EC will only get one team in the playoff.
This is why I don't see a Big 10 team, and some others from other conferences, having a prayer of making it. Even if they do go undefeated...

Even with a W, an undefeated FSU has been (temporarily) written out of the picture. Does anyone think an undefeated Nebraska, if it happens, will leap-frog a one-loss SEC team, or perhaps a one-loss Big 12 team? I don't.
OU, Ole Miss, FSU, Oregon. Yea, I went there.
FSU all depends on their abilities with thug management. If they fail, put in 2 SEC teams - both from the west.
Bama and Auburn are in the same division...the SEC will not get two in because the East is a pillow fight so far throughout the season.
If Ole Miss beats Bama at home this week and A&M on the road the next, they will go undefeated. LSU is not that good and MS State can't help but self-implode down the stretch.
If Ole Miss (or throw in A & M) only lose is to Bama and Bama wins out. Ole Miss, A& M still end up a top 5 or better and get in play offs without SEC championship game (especially if only lose is early in season). Like Dubya said, east is a pillow fight.
BYU - OU
Oregon - Fla St
All SEC teams end up with 2 loses and are shut out....
