Amazing how 110,633 can be that quiet...except for the Ole Miss sections. Must be because half of them have left already.

Ole Miss just got their first penalty of the night -- a holding call-- with about 12 min left in the game.

What's crazy is that Miss St might be even better. What's in the water in Starkville and Oxford?

    Re: Week 7 Games

Currently down to 7 unbeaten teams---

Arizona (losing 14-6 to USC at halftime), Baylor, Florida State, Marshall, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Notre Dame.

Florida State hosts Notre Dame next week, and the Egg Bowl looms in November if both Mississippi schools survive that far.

Five teams have become bowl-eligible....Baylor, Florida State, Marshall, Mississippi State, and Notre Dame. Ole Miss will also if it holds on to win, and Arizona would if it comes back against USC.

I've wondered the same. Great coaching would be my first guess/answer. I'd like to know how many 4th or 5th year players are contributing on those two teams vs. lsu.

If MState and Ole Miss can keep this up, the game between them is going to be one Hellava game! It should be selling out now!

I still give MState the edge just from what I have seen.

I don't want to jinx either Mississippi teams as I have friends that are alumni of each school, but either team could be ranked #1 Monday. The Egg Bowl could decide which team participates in the NC tournament. Who would have figured. I hope State graduates all their players as Tech plays them the next two years.

Sorry, won't matter. Moo State is a juggernaut now that reloads, not rebuilds!

I remember being in Moo's stadium in 1980. Looked a lot like Aillet looks today. They have come a long way. Of course, since the advent of the $mega millions college sports movement, and being in the ultimate cash-producing conference, they've had the money to make the improvements.

It seems like it was still that way up into the '90s. Ole Miss as well.

Our Bulldogs will have the opportunity/challenge next season to slow down State's junior quarterback HAUGHTON'S Mr. Dak Prescott. I'll be there pulling for OUR DOGS to beat the MSU Dogs in spite of a superb game by Dak.

Besides Dak we also get to shut down their leading rusher, junior Josh Robinson from Franklinton, LA, who has rushed for 690 yards, although Auburn held him to a measly 97. Robinson and Dak played against each other in a state quarterfinal game in Haughton Dak's senior year. BUT RIGHT NOW LET'S JUST BEAT UTSA!!!!!
