Nope. That's actually a lot of TV revenue for a G5 conference. Roughly $1 million more per year than the ~$400K we were getting from the WAC and ~$1.5 million more than the Belch schools are getting in TV revenue. LOL at the Belch's TV redvenue AKA expenses. The Belch actually loses between $35K-50K per school per year on their TV contract because they have to pay to produce games. C-USA's TV revenue per school is essentially the same as what the Mountain West is getting with their new package. C-USA TV revenue still far surpasses the MAC's newly revamped TV deal. The only G5 conference with more TV revenue is the AAC.

THIS 100%. And I would add the AAC deal is somewhat higher, but not a whole lot higher. They're not even sniffing the stratosphere of the P5.

First DirecTV listings for November 1 have Fox Sports Detroit (channel 663) and Fox Sports Midwest (channel 671) carrying the Western Kentucky game from the start at 2:00.

FSSW's primary channel shows games starting at 11:00 and 2:30, so I would expect the Western Kentucky game to show up on one of the alternate feeds.

FS Southwest (Ch 676) now shows the game live at 2:00 pm and a replay at midnight. Root Sports Northwest (Ch 687) shows a replay at 10:00 pm, and FSN-San Diego (Ch 694) shows a replay at 5:00 am on Sunday. Many of the channels show "to be announced" so more will probably be added. Some of the channels do already show NC State @ Syracuse.

That's at least $20 million per year for 14 schools, and almost every game (maybe all FBS vs. FBS games hosted by C-USA) is on real TV.

The P5 conferences will always get the prime time slots. C-USA doesn't have the benefit of playing late games in the Mountain, Pacific, and Hawai'i time zones like the MW. The MAC gets considerably less than C-USA, and the Belch actually loses money on their TV contract. And those conferences have to play on Tuesday or Wednesday to get a few games on ESPN2, ESPNU, or ESPNews. The rest of their games are ESPN3 internet exclusives. C-USA's TV deal is far better than the alternative.

I feel like early morning games take away a lot of the anticipation. You walk around--shoot bull for 3-6 hours getting psyched for game and go in excited wired and ready to yell/ 11:00 am you run around get on road ( 1 1/2 hr drive) -walk in to stadium and not mentally ready-- without being tacky , its like .... well lets not go there . think back to your younger dating days

Why would we get any cut outside of the guarantee? The home team/conference owns the TV rights.

For whatever reason, Tech draws well on TV.

This is true & goes back to why many of us that did not grow up in Louisiana know that Tech is more known & relevant outside of our 100 mile radius of Ruston & certainly more than outside the state of Louisiana. This is our major marketing problem...along with many other smaller ones.
