I think the ESPN article was funny as H*ll!
Would love it if this lot a fire that found some way to inspire a bowl matchup. But it will never happen. Todays lspoo would sooner shut down tigger stadium than play us on a neutral field.
What's funny is they actually have a Transitive Win ranking on SBNation:

Tech has won the Desserpmi Ton Era Ew Award the past two weeks:
Description:
Like the We Are Not Impressed Award, but opposite. Indeed, the name of this award is "we are not impressed" backwards.
Measure:
The highest CTR among teams receiving no votes in the AP poll.
Winner:
Louisiana Tech
Notes:
A repeat winner from last week. As I mentioned earlier, only one CTR top 25 school received no votes in this week's AP poll, and it's the CTR 17 Bulldogs. This one is actually fairly explainable. Tech's only FBS losses this year came to Oklahoma and Auburn, two teams very high in the LTR. So while their wins haven't been spectacular, the CTR has no reason to penalize them for their losses.
However, the AP does have reason to penalize them for their losses, as the Bulldogs fell earlier this year to FCS Northwestern State. This is something the CTR isn't designed to take into account, so the divergence in this case is understandable. CTR number 27 Iowa is the next highest ranked team that saw no AP votes.
And, at the end of the day, the elessewers were arguing amongst themselves, agreeing with the Tech tweet.

We beat UTSA worse than #15 Arizona did.
For years I've been using this theory (Transitive Win), but never new the correct term. Auburn is holding up their end of the bargain, but OU is not holding up quite as well. I feel "transitivly" we would be in the top 30 or better right now had we not screwed up with NWS.
