My opinion... I'm not putting that first half offensive performance on bad play calling or coaching. The players need to execute. The o line needs to block, the wars need to catch, the QB needs to throw accurate balls. Things have been open.

Great post. Very true. By my count we did this in the 1st half.....we

...dropped at least 5 passes
...had several bad throws to open receivers by Sokol
...ran for negative -16 yards rushing
...lost 1 fumble
...Punted once for 22 yards (when we really couldn't afford to)
...gave up a 65-yard kick runback
...OL didn't block anybody


And this doesn't begin to accurately describle the slopply play in the first half. Frankly, we are very fortunate to only be down 7-3 at the half. That's the good news. If we were playing a real football team, we'd be down 35-0.

And, when they all are not executing, it goes back to bad practices and bad coaching.

Bump the fire Holtz thread. Thank god my expectations were extremely low for this game after re watching the UTSA game. Stop the run and our O is terrible. What happened to Henderson, I haven't seen him since the kickoff return. I figured we could max protect and send him deep every play.
