Then why was Tech selected? Tech was obviously a better choice than Lafayette or Tech wouldn't have been chosen and you wouldn't be complaining about it. That's about all you Lafayette folks do. You broker a deal with the legislature and make a deal with NLU to bring them into the SBC and become the ULX twins, and all you have done is try to proclaim that you are THE University of Louisiana. You continually berate ULM, other SBC members, and the SBC. Makes no sense since you folks set the whole thing up with ULM and the SBC.

Your joke of a sports board wont even let other opinions exist on their board. They are immediately deleted no matter how tame.

We don't have to explain to someone from a school which doesn't know its own name why we were selected to C-USA and they weren't. We were selected. We will leave you to cry "WHY?"

There are a combination of factors that go into what University is picked for what conference.

    Strong athletics program
    Facility improvements and plans
    Academics
    TV market
    etc....

If it was just metro-area, Mississippi State would not be in the SEC and several others would not be in P5 conferences. There is a combination of factors.

Lalaf can give a decent (not great) metro area, but that is about it. Winning the belt and going to the N.O. Bowl every year doesn't really qualify them. Plus, they have the same issue Texas State has with metro area. In a decent sized market, but the market is owned by a P5 school down the road. Academics are poor. As for facilities, it sounds like they have a grand plan, but there is nothing concrete that they can pull any of it off and or if it will be scaled back to trailers.

They've never won a Sunbelt championship, they've only been co-champs. Their last conference championship was 45 years ago. http://website.informer.com/visit?do...awarehouse.com

Hey, I've some pretty spiffy trailers in my day. Besides, if the water comes up, they can just move their facilities to higher ground. Kinda convenient when you live in the back water.

See how much the world keeps up with them? I couldn't tell you, nor would I care who won the championships in the belt.

    They're still dead to me.

But I do like the teasing of those loser USL minions. Somebody post this over there so we can watch the fireworks.

Actually, we haven't heard a peep out of UL-L concerning CUSA membership. Some mouth breathing posers claiming they go to some Louisiana school have been talking about it some. Louisiana School is that math and science high school in Natchitoches, isn't it?
