I'm the most open to a Fiorina and Kasich ticket (in either order) than anything else presented so far. They aren't perfect, don't agree with every single thing, definitely have a lot of gaffes, but their combination just appears the best for what we need.

They would bring a lot to the table. Unfortunately, their practical/pragmatic/business-like approach to getting this country pointed in the right direction won't be given the chance. The combined media/low-information crowd/propaganda machine of BIG guv-mint will swamp any attempts at meaningful reforms. Has nothing to do with party affiliation and everything to do with the "shadow power" of control and self-interest.

And most are ill equipped or uninterested in analyzing the information. You're right, it's not an information deficiency, it's a critical thinking deficiency.

Speaking of low information, you can put Carson at the top of the list of low information candidates. Any question directed to him is a "gotcha" question.

NBC's "Does the bible have authority over the constitution" is a gotcha question. Damned either way he answers. But at least it is not as egregious as CNN's "As president of the United States, do you understand that you wouldn’t be able to duck issues just because they make you uncomfortable or you don’t do well on them" question, especially considering your Pretender.

It's a silly question, certainly not worthy. But, if they ask it, it should be asked of ALL candidates.

Most low information voters (Dems) don't even care to hear or read the opposite view point ( and some just plain can't) nor to seek the truth. So yes it's a "critical thinking deficiency" which is a nice way of saying it's a low IQ issue/deficiency.

Nah, I still say low IQ per the low information base of the DEMS. They lack critical thinking and analysis skills. And those that don't understand or don't care how it impacts them and/or their country demonstrate an even lower IQ IMHO.
