Memphis becomes bowl-eligible team #48 with a game-ending FG to beat Temple 16-13 at Philadelphia.

If Temple had won that game, the AAC projected conference finish would have been a 6-way tie at 6-2.

Does that mean that the winner of CUSA's conference championship will most likely be he highest rated G5 school? Or will it go to the Mountain West?
    Have you considered those Dogs?

Depends on who the MWC champion is. The highest ranked MWC team (Colorado State) might not even be playing in the MWC championship game.

Speaking of the MWC, Utah State beats Wyoming 20-3 to become bowl-eligible team #49.

It would be awesome for USM to get it together and knock Marshall off. I know it is good for CUSA to have a team ranked this high, but all I am thinking about is us winning out and hosting the championship game. I may have to pin my hopes on Rice doing that, though. All we can control is beating UAB, ODU, and Rice to finish undefeated in conference! I am a Tech and USM fan today.

USMbeating Marshall would be sweet, but both us and Marshall winning out and the Bulldogs winning at Marshall could vault us into the
    fiesta... right?

Doubt it....... We still have that little FCS fiasco....... I would much rather have Marshall on our field for that championship game.

Wife and I are going to the USM game. Anxious to see if Marshall's qb is as good as they say.

I am being completely honest that I think Marshall is just not as good as most think. USM has a chance - IMHO

NESN+ is already showing the blackout message for the Tech-UAB game on DirecTV. At least there was no suspense to it.

For regions outside the Northeast, this does not look like an option, but that is what we have seen all season.

Rice won but not impressively over UTSA 17-7.

So we'll either be extremely low scoring (not good for us) or extremely high scoring (both teams above 35).

It depends. Right now, the highest-ranked team could be either Marshall, the winner of the Mountain West, or maybe the champ of the AAC (Memphis, UCF, Houston, ECU, or Cincy). The Sun Belt and MAC Champs shouldn't be a factor.

If Marshal wins out and wins the C-USA Championship, they will probably be the highest-ranked G5 school.

. To lazy to look up actual scores but believe we have scored at least 40 points in every CUSA game, not sure why Rice would be any different
