SFA game is first of 5 straight road games to begin our season, with 9 of 11 games on the road in our Nov - Dec pre-conference schedule.
Going to be a HUGE test for the Techsters! This SFA team is no joke with a really nice inside/outside game! GO TECHSTERS! I will be there cheering them on!
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
Louisiana Tech's hiring of Tyler Summitt as the sixth head coach in Lady Techster basketball history received an abundance of positive local, regional and national attention since the April 2 press conference in Ruston.

So ready for some WBB!
Have to wonder whether more pressure is on the Techsters or our new hed coach Tyler!
JFW!
My wife and I will be there.
Techsters just posed this link to the game from the SFA website

Outside pressure and media expectations CTS will keep squarely on himself. He'll make sure the players only have to live up to his and their teammates' expectations.
But it's gonna take some discipline for the team to not get distracted by the tsunami of national attention coming their way--especially if they post some early wins.
Media-wise, this sport is dying for something other than the same ol' UConn, NotreDame, Duke,Tenn, Baylor, etc. that only reshuffles the same cards from one season to the next. CTS and the Lady Techsters are THE story in women's basketball this year. It's a story with heart, values, and a sense of history. Nobody's gonna take a pass on that one.
Beyond that, the women journalists who cover this sport feel a debt of gratitude to Pat, and know time is limited. They will be doubly-motivated to "pay back" the support she's always given women's basketball in their coverage of Tyler. It looks like a perfect media storm--only this time it's positive news!
Wonder who Tyler's agent for speaking engagements is? 'Cause CTS is gonna be IN DEMAND after this season winds down. And if we don't make the tourney this year... expect to see Tyler behind the mic at halftime or in the studio all through May. Better get your popcorn!
Be safe on the roads Saturday night guys and gals. The weather might be a tad rough.
That is the way to do it. When I lived in New Orleans, I had a LOT of old friends that suddenly became close friends again for a place to stay. I started making the rules early. I would tell them that I would be glad to show them around and do some things with them, but I had my own schedule, as well. I finally got the mix right by giving them some time to do things on their own and us meeting up at other times. Of course, that always depended on if it was one friend or a group of friends visiting. That makes a difference.
They have Roberts and Mathew. This will be a big game. They are picked to win the Southland again and are filled with seniors. On their home court, they will be tough. I just want to see us play our game and play the full game with no lapses. Come what may with the score - I know we will be okay if I see that.
Ready to head to Nacogdoches soon in my throw-back National Championship t-shirt to mark the beginning of our new era!
