QUESTION: Would long-time Techster fans find this an offensive sight?
My wife & I talked about--for the MTSU game--buying a Lady Techsters and a Lady Vols shirt, splitting them and re-combining them (half&half), with SUMMIT across the backs.
(I am pleasantly sure it will offend the MTSUvians!)
I still think the La Tech Athletic Dept. is missing a marketing opportunity by not taking advantage of all us LadyVol fans who feel strong loyalty to the Summit family. But they need to mine that gold now, while Tyler's Lady Techsters are not yet a threat to OrangeNation.
For sure, historically. I remember those days when the Bar(more) was set so high, seemingly beyond our reach. Now it's a house united, by the Summits. Or in our case, a house extended by adoption.
A lot of "Tennessee / Georgia" house-divided swag gets sold in our area. "Tenn / Bama" not so much.
Tennessee / Florida? I've heard of mixed marriages... but that borders on bestiality.

Tech and Barnes & Noble should never ever sell anything that simply says "Techsters." A few years ago, we even had a head coach break tradition and equip one of our teams with jerseys that said "Techsters."
