I will be bringing 3 to the rice game. It sort of sucks it's on tv for attendance. One more tailgate in 2014. One more chance to see fireworks, oops wrong game. If we can stop the speed option we will be fine. If not it will be a long day.

Well, yeah, except we were playing for the ORANGE BOWL in that game. This doesn't rise to that level. Still...here we are, with something to play for. We can win our division and have a shot to win the conference. After that, a bowl game. I would think that true Tech football fans would find that exciting enough....

I guess on the bright side, we shouldn't have too many people taking our space- we will have room to spread out. All of my family will be there and maybe add a few future TECH students in the mix.

With the SEC's chances of filling the I-Bowl increased, this game should decide who goes to Dallas vs a real long bowl road trip.

Who hosts the championship game if we beat Rice and Marshall loses to WKU?

Marshall since it will have the higher playoff or computer ranking. The only way Tech could have hosted was to finish a game better than Marshall in the conference standings.

Perspective. I think at the beginning of the season, most of us would have loved the idea of having a shot to go to the conference championship game in our final regular season game of the year.

We aren't as good as we want to be yet but we are better than we were. I'll enjoy any season where we go to a bowl. We haven't been to many.
