TOP 10 REASONS LA TECH LOST TO ODU


10. The wind was blowing in the wrong direction.
9. The sun was too bright…although the ODU quarterback was wearing no black under his eyes!
8. Statistics prior to the game showed we should win!
7. Our defense was on the field for most of the second half due to offense 3 and outs!
6. Hunter Lee could not play!
5. The ODU receivers made more yards after the catch on bubble screens because their other receivers could block for the receiver that caught the ball. Our receivers could not block on our bubble screens!
4. LA TECH lost the game more than ODU won it!
3. LA TECH receivers dropped catches that should have been made. PERIOD!!
2. LA TECH made ZERO points in the second half!
1. Somehow, the LA TECH team that lost to Northwestern, found their way to Norfolk Virginia and played in the second half!!!!!

Full house standing room only for the ODU seniors. These guys had been winners for 4 yrs-- the stadium was literally rocking. They had recently ended 5 game losing streak but fan base love their team. We are playing for a divisional championship and I had some guy tell me he hates our coaches at end of game. Here is point, Can We Rock the Joe and give this team the support they deserve??

Number one reason we lost this game was a terrible defensive game plan that we stuck with in spite of not working all day long. Diaz has been phenomenal all year but for some reason we did something different in week 11 on defense. We ran every play on defense, all 75 snaps in a 3-4 and played zone, a soft zone at that behind the blitz. We crushed utep and wku and just about everybody else playing press, a lot of man and the blitz all year. We did this mostly with a 4 man front and the occasional 3-4 look but almost always with man or press outside. The four man front allowed us to stop other teams run and make them one dimensional or at least predictable. The 3-4 did not stop the run all day it was wide open and we never adjusted. We held the ball 12 minutes in the first quarter and 12 total the final 3 quarters because the D could not get off the field. That was disgusting. We somehow have managed to lose to the two worst teams on our schedule but still win 7 games and have a shot to play for championship, hope we leave that gamelan in Norfolk.

This game is EXTREMELY important!!! Time for Dawg fans to step up. I'll be in section "C" on the West side ....yelling and ringing two cowbells when Rice has the ball. Go Dawgs. JFW!!!!

Just WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Joe needs to be rocking this Saturday! We had a NW State game again and I hope we got it out of the way, because we have got to have a UTEP game this Saturday!

Agree. Diaz was scared of their QB. We hinted at it all week... "he's not like WKU's QB, this guy is good!" "He's probably the best QB we've seen this year." I guess it would have been worse if we had played man (in their opinion). We did confuse him and he threw 4 picks, but they never punted and he nickle and dimed us to death. I think he was 18/19 at one point in the 2nd half.
