I have said for months they are fun to watch ( like we were in 2012)-- but soft schedule. Statistically you win taking great defense and points-- I could see us pulling Old Dominion on this -- long sustained drives , big time of possession our way. That doesn't work then shoot out. Love our dbacks in this game. My biggest concern is weather-- historically we have problems with cold weather, our southern boys stand around freezing ( literally 1 hour in Norfolk)--. I take Tech and points .

My biggest concern is Marshall's QB, Cato. Mobile QB's typically give us trouble. But, I'm not sure how good Cato is on his feet. And Houston Bates should have something to say about this.

Diaz has been learning a lot about the Herd this week. I think our defense steps up big and scores this week as well.

I agree that as much as I respect Holtz, Diaz is as close as we have to a secret weapon-- he pulls this off tommorrow he will become part of Tech lore, rather a bigger part of Tech lore than he already is .

Just remembering what he said about WKU -- he had found a weakness and really expoited it. Hope the same is true of Marshall.

Visited Marshal fan site-- got there from thread about some idiot posting fire their coach if he loses-- pretty funny stuff, few posters upset after visiting our site and SHOCKED that we think we will win, heck, we could be playing Oakland Raiders and we would be seeing post about winning . They are also posting about 9 players being left in Ruston, ??, . One poster made a lot of sense --posted the colder it gets the more chance they have-- I have flown out to 10-12 games over years and never seen us win a game in freezing weather -- hopefully the OD game has given us a little experience dealing with it. anyways, if you want to see some equally wacko fans, follow the fire coach thread ... Holtz will be on channel 12 during 6 news ( shreveport) in 20 minute

Marshall has a great team, no doubt. We also have a great team although we have not been as consistent. I like the Dawgs in this one because we really have nothing to lose. We have been written off since the NSU loss and also had consistency problems. That said, when we are playing good we can play with anyone and especially anyone in our conference. Its such a huge opportunity. If we lose this one I think it will be because we were beat by a better team. It will not be because we did not show up. That gives me hope that we can win this one.
