Endzone tix are $25 - a business or 2 could donate $7500 to purchase 500 tickets that students could purchase for $10

$25, $50 or $75 is a lot of money for students plus gas & lodging

Have you seen what these college kids drive/own compared to what we drove and owned? We had mostly the clothes on our backs These kids may have 5 electric guitars (as an example). I am sure some of them could use the help though.

They will day trip or parents will foot bill for 95% of them

Not too expensive to go to Dallas

For some, maybe. For others, things are still tight. I can *afford* full price tickets +gas, etc., but its a significant dent in the budget that might be better served staying home and watching on TV.

Well, the rest of them can be "get a job to pay for it" kids.

They'll manage. We all did. BTW, I never read "we're broke and too poor to attend games" posts like this on Big 12 or SEC sites. Not even on ULL's site. Its just a few LA Tech people looking for another excuse to not succeed. Just make it happen.

I went and watched Karl Malone play Oklahoma in Dallas as a college student. And, those were some expensive tickets. We drove back and forth in the same day. Made some priceless memories....not every day I've followed a giraffe in a horse trailer down I-20 in the middle of the night.

Anybody know how student ticket sales are going?

I know my daughter went to get hers earlier and got an earful of beeching by someone in the office contemplating buying a ticket (which cost way too much and why should LTAC members be given priority, according to said ticket purchaser, who left without purchasing a ticket).

But in answer to your question, know idea on the ticket sales. I do know that she has to go back Monday to get a REAL ticket. What she got today was a "hypothetical copy" of one.
