Option 4 is our best case, and 2-4 are all better than #1.

Too many moving parts in a 2 for 1. Bad things happen.
If MSU backs out we either take their money and buy a game with Mississippi Valley or we sign up for an away game with Nebraska and cash two paychecks for the same week, or even better we take that money and add it to what we'd make on the first game of a 1-and-1 with Air Force or someone.
P5s gotta schedule teams like Tech.
Their home fans won't stand to lose homecoming games to league teams. With teams like Tech they think they have a chance.

I think 2-1 is the way to go with certain P5s for us. Miss State, A&M, TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech, Ok State, and Arky to name a few. Play some of the games at Indy if not all and we will make money on our end, get P5s that any given year we have a shot at, plus give them quality G5 games. Our guys have proven that fcs teams do not get their full attention, so scrap them for P5s at Indy in a 2-1 and a G5 1-1 to go along with 1 maybe 2 big money games.
Using the 2 for 1 solution, you must make at least $3M in three years out of the deal to match what we currently MUST have. Whatever combo of buyouts, locations, etc., we use in a 2-1, we can't make that kind of money. You might be able to get a $2M return in a home and home, but not likely.
I'm not arguing to replace all money games with a 2-1 Just that I'd take a 2-1 instead of an fcs game. An ideal schedule would be imo 2 money games, 1 2-1, 1 G5 1-1 (Houston, SMU, Memphis, Tulane...), 8 conf games. I would love to see 2 G5 1-1 and only 1 money game, but we are not at that level financially every year yet.
Let's win consistently, play 6 games at home annually - I don't care how we do it (2/1 P5, 1/1 G5, FCS) - If we're winning, I don't think it matters who we play
If average season ticket is $190 (reserved bench - box seats/young alumni/east GA probably cancel each other out) for 6 game schedule (was $150 this year with 5 games) then here is potential income (not including increased LTAC contributions)
This does not inlude inflation or increased price do to demand (& student tickets). I know it would be hard to reach this season ticket numbers, but a boy can dream.
