Dixon gets screwed on the 1st team all conference lineup. The most dynamic back I the league is regulated to 2nd team.
Shame

"There's always next year."
I agree... He was definitely the most valuable RB
I think they got this one right. Dixon was great, but he probably did not deserve 1st team honors. Even though Dixon was 1st in TDs, he was a distant 5th in yards per game (4 above him averaged over 100 yd/game), and he was tied for 7th among the top ten rushers in yards per carry.
This is what happens when you play in a 13-14 team conference: Fewer and lesser honors and championships.
I guarantee you all conference is probably the last thing on his mind. The number of hits he's taken in the last two years and that yardage record at Tech might be, but not all conference. Whoever the idiots were that put this team together are about as useful as a knife in a gun fight. Worst all conference team I've ever seen assembled.
Dixon was no 1 in catches for RBs. Total yards and scoring were first team.
Yea I 100% agree he should have been 1st team, and I think he knows he was. He's better than either of the 2 guys that got it over him for sure. They may have had more yards rushing, which sadly is the only deciding metric in decisions like this, but he was definitely more deserving. He carried this team by himself at times.
He is the best in the league. I saw nobody with his mix of power, balance, speed and explosiveness. He is, arguably, the best to ever play for Tech.
Have you considered those Dogs?
Like it or not, Marshall RB Devon Johnson had a better year than Kenneth Dixon. Johnson ran 191 times for 1,636 yards and 16 TD's this season. Other than the TD's, Dixon didn't come close.
As a fan of Dixon, I would argue that Dixon's 2014 stats came against much tougher competition, including OU, Auburn, ULL, etc... But Marshall pretty much ended the argument with last Saturday's big victory over LA Tech in the conference championship game.
I loved Moats, he had an elusiveness that I haven't seen at Tech, but Dixon has power and a better team around him.
