Just under $1MM, I'd vote to give Manny, Giles, & Jabbar raises, as well as Sloan & Rattay.

we need to always look at raising our assistant coaches pay when they have success. That is how you eventually are able to promote from within when you need to hire instead of starting from scratch every 3-5 years. New coach usually means new staff, new system etc.... if you develop the staff where the successor is in house and a quality candidate, then there is less turn over which limits disruption in the players development and the programs success.
Geez...
Brock Lough (Georgia State - RB Coach) makes $35K.
there a lot of teaching and coaching positions in the college world that are poor salary wise. It is like a lot of things the top of the food chain makes so much it skews things.
Dykes negotiated in 2011 more money for assistants --when he left they reduced it back down --Holtz has less than Dykes for assistants-- Diaz will be earning 500-700k when he leaves--- Coach H will be recruiting new assistants for minimum wages ... gonna get worse-- estimated cost for "full scholarships" is going to go up about 6k per scholarship ( pocket money) and big boy conferences will be allowed to write some rules for themself -- NCAA will have different guidlines for mid level schools --
I wish we would offer Diaz a multi year deal at around $300K per year and see if he would sign it.
problem with contracts is that all get broken when real money shows up-- Florida dissolved a 7.5 million contract by comination of cash and 2 million money game couple weeks ago. when 1.3 million for assistant coaches comes around, small 300k contracts get bought out ... the new fla coach agreed to personally pay back 2 million over next few years also--CRAZY
Offer Diaz a 3 year 300k a year with the promiss that if he wants become a head coach, he's our first choice.
Did you guys see that Bicknell only made 150k as head coach in his last year. Coaching salaries are going up way to fast. There will be a bubble and it will be ugly.
I wonder if Matt Moore recieved a bump from his 130k a year.
All the coaches make good money for living in Ruston where the cost of living is inexpensive.
Salaries have doubled in less than 8 years. I got in the wrong profession.
It'll burst the same time the student loan bubble burst.
What shocks me about this list is how little of an increase Dykes' assistants that went with him to Cal got for moving from Ruston to Berkeley where cost of living doesn't justify such a small increase. I would have thought that they would have gotten more than just 20,000 to 30,000 more. This, of course, is outside of Tony Franklin.
