Thinks they have as much as SMU? SMU has covered valet parking at their stadium for their rich alumni. Of course Univ of Tex has the second highest endowment in the country, just behind Harvard.
Our bowl practice facility this week, Highland Park HS, tneighbors SMU. It has, among other things, a gorgeous indoor facility (85 yards long by 75 yards), video board similar in size to West Monroe's, AND . . . a four (or five) level parking garage, which is also used for school parking. The Highland Park High School Scots. Their baseball field, now get this, is called Scotland Yard.
The have an 85-game home winning streak. The coach said they have school construction bond issue to vote on next year.
Co-Capts. for 1945 team were Doak Walker and Bobby Layne.

There is a VULGAR amount of money in Highland Park. It must be nice...very, very, nice. On the other hand, what is it like to be a kid from there? "Stuff" is all he's ever known...he starts looking for a college to attend, and most of the schools he visits will have LESS facilities than his high school?
I realize that's not so uncommon in Texas anymore, but HP is on a different level than those, even.
